Individual: Technical Issue 2.0
Individual: Technical Issue 2.0
Packing paper, iron mesh, LEDs, 7-segment displays, hemp rope, wires.
This work explores the transition of the human condition from a communal "chain" to an isolated "atom." In the modern West, death is no longer a destiny but a "technical failure"—a biological bug to be managed through radical self-maintenance.
The figure is trapped in a strained, static stretch; it represents the exhaustion of a life spent in perpetual optimization. While digital metrics and "pristine" thoughts (the heart-horn) attempt to debug the experience of aging, the paper skin leaks with the reality of entropy. The accompanying fetus, staring back through eyes of data, represents the modern legacy: a mirrored ego rather than a step forward. It is a portrait of the individual as a closed circuit, straining to hold itself together while the internal rigging fails.
